Fine Wine Sales Manager

We are seeking a savvy sales manager to help build and maintain our growing portfolio of wine. This person will manage key account relationships and a state-wide team focused on On-Premise and Fine Wine Retail . This is your opportunity to join a company on the move!
Purpose :
This position directs and leads the overall effort to maximize sales, distribution and profitability within the division. The On-Premise / Fine Wine State Manager assists the Wine Sales Manager in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the work of the Sales Supervisors, Sales Representatives and Business Development Managers. The On-Premise / Fine Wine State Manager is responsible for personal and team compliance of Company standards and policies in all areas impacted by the sales department.
Position
Responsibilities:
Plan, execute & achieve division goals and objectives for volume sales, product distribution and service.
Attend supplier meetings and negotiations.
Communicate with Business Development Managers on a daily basis to stay current on market-wide business trends and developments.
Provide market and competitive information to the Wine Sales Manager as it pertains to portfolio and sales strategy decisions.
Assist the Wine Sales Manager in devising sales strategies against supplier goals.
Ensure optimal and maximum utilization of promotional programs and company resources. Actively participate in the planning and development of all wine tastings, wine dinners and wait staff trainings.
Plan, organize and facilitate trade shows on an annual basis. Supplement annual shows with mini events on an as needed basis.
Execute against a targeted non-buy account list by customer & brand. Work with sales team to secure new business through closure of account & distribution voids on a regular basis.
Identify, target and develop potential new accounts within territory.
Identify opportunities to increase sales, profitability, efficiency and service levels.
Maintain positive professional relationships with owners and buying personnel at key accounts with monthly/quarterly calls.
Communicate business trends and account changes in a timely manner to Wine Sales Manager and General Manager.
Mentor, coach, advise and counsel Regional Supervisors on a regular basis in the daily management of their teams.
Assist in the selection, indoctrination and training of sales personnel within division.
Schedule supplier Work-Withs and presentations to sales personnel.
Schedule, prepare and administrate sales meetings.
Review and evaluate with the Wine Sales Manager the performance of assigned sales personnel twice each year.
Submit all administrative reports to interdepartmental personnel in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility: Business Development Managers, Sales Supervisors and Sales Representatives within division.
Position Requirements:
Comprehensive knowledge of fine wine, the hospitality industry, sales & strategic marketing in the beverage industry.
Proven record of achievement in sales within a multi-layered sales organization.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed, including late nights and weekends.
Valid Maine driver s license and safe driving record.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
