Summary:
This is a full-time mycological laboratory and production position, assisting the laboratory's management group in routine aspects of our spawn production system and cleanroom protocol.
Work will include tasks in both warehouse and cleanroom conditions.
The work will occur at the facilities of Maine Cap N' Stem in Gardiner, ME.
Work will include:
Preparation of spawn growing media using industrial equipment in a warehouse environment Autoclave operation for vacuum sterilization of growing media Inoculation of aseptic growing media under cleanroom conditions Cleanroom maintenance and disinfection Packaging and preparing wholesale orders for shipment Essential Skills Comfort with cleanroom laboratory environment Must be willing to wear PPE:
full-body Tyvek suit, surgical mask, nitrile gloves Comfort with meeting a rigorous production schedule Comfort and competence with operation of industrial equipment Capacity to meticulously adhere to protocol Organized, detail-oriented, communicative Ability to regularly lift 50
lb.
Experience Preferred:
Cleanroom laboratory experience; willing to train the right individual Production work experience Forklift operation Interest in mycology and laboratory processes Compensation:
